ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons senior center Mardochee Jean added another All-American award to his growing list of accolades, as he was named a third-team All-American by DIII News and he also was selected for the Collegiate Basketball Invitational, April 24-26 in Ohio.

The CBI is the most prestigious event for college basketball seniors at the NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA levels. Only 64 players from the three divisions were selected for the event.

All players are guaranteed three games in the event and then the top 20 players will be selected for a final game that will be played on ESPNU.

Jean, the American Southwest Conference West Division Player of the Year, was also named first-team all-district by the National Association of Basketball Coaches and third-team All-American by D3hoops.com.

Jean was also named to the D3hoops.com All-South Region second team. It is the second time in his career he has been named to the second team, along with one season as a third-team selection.

Jean averaged 15.8 points and 10.3 rebounds per game as the Cowboys went 15-12 on the year.
