Hardin-Simmons' senior midfielder Whitney Piendak has been named the co-American Southwest Conference Offensive Player of the Year by the 14 coaches of the ASC.
Piendak set the conference record with 29 goals this season, including four-game winners. She shared the honor with Erika Sudeck of LeTourneau.
Amy Kuykendall , a freshman forward from Weatherford, was named the ASC offensive freshman of the year. She also had a banner season setting the ASC scoring record with 72 points on 26 goals and a conference-record 20 assists.
Those two also were named to the All-ASC team and were joined by senior forward Mindi Zamora and freshman goalkeeper Christi Carr .
Junior sweeper Laura Newbrough was named to the second team, sophomore Kelly Watson was named to the third team and sophomore forward Morgan Loyd was named honorable mention.
HSU won its fourth straight American Southwest Conference title this season and extended its ASC unbeaten streak to 82 games.
